    System PulseMeter Interface

    Main Window Interface

All tests in System PulseMeter are grouped by folders. Tests folders list is displayed on the left side of the main window. For more convenient tests viewing, depending on tests results or other conditions, you also can create Views.

Main window contains two tabs: "Test View" and "Network Diagram".

    Test View

    Tests List

In the tests list you can see the name of the test, result returned by the test, number of test recurrences since the result has changed, time of last test performing, short description of result of the last test performing, how many times the test was performed since it's first activation, number of test fail results, number of test successful results and the name of the agent or core, performing  the test.

    Test Log

In the "Test Log" you can view latest test results. Number of records displayed in the log can be changed by editing "Tools" -> "Administration" -> "Edit System Polices" -> "Maximum log records count" option.

    Action Log

In the "Action Log" you can see the list of actions performed for the selected test, including the system reply to the action.

    System Log

In the "System log" you can view system events history, like pausing monitoring, resuming monitoring and agents state.

    Chart

The "Chart" tab contains a chart view available for such tests as Ping test, Process memory test, HTTP request test, etc. The chart is displaying the numeric result value obtained during the tests processing. X-axis represents the timeline. Y-axis contains result values.

    Statistics

Use "Overall Statistics" tab for viewing general System PulseMeter performance statistics, including:

    • Core statistics
    • Tests statistics
    • Actions statistics
    • System PulseMeter Agents statistics

    Network Diagram

"Network Diagram" tab contains current network map, displaying monitored network devices grouped by networks. Using network diagram is the easiest way to manage network devices with the help of System PulseMeter.

"Network Diagram" can be used for viewing tests running on hosts, monitoring hosts state, fast drilling down to hosts with problems detected and managing network devices, like switching hubs and network printers.

Double clicking on the device node will display all tests for the selected device.

Links between devices are represented by lines and color of the device node background indicates the device state or the percent of the failed tests.

Minimap allows fast scrolling the network diagram.

Network diagram can be automatically created by System PulseMeter or adjusted manually. Learn more about setting and using "Network Diagram".
