System Pulse MIB Browser Menu

MIB Browser Main Menu

• File

  • Load Module - loads selected file, parses it and adds the file to MIB browser database.
  • Unload Module - removes the selected file from the MIB browser database and refreshes the MIB tree.
  • Clear Database - use this option to completely clear the MIBs database.
  • Load Basic MIBs - click to load the basic set of MIB files to the database. In case if basic MIBs were already loaded, the program will return corresponding error. Basic MIBs are necessary for obtaining basic information about MIB files structure, SNMPv2 format, etc. Basic MIB files include: HOST-RESOURCES-MIB, IANAifType-MIB, IF-MIB, NETWORK-SERVICES-MIB, RFC1155-SMI, RFC1213-MIB, RFC-1212, SNMP-FRAMEWORK-MIB.mib, SNMPv2-CONF, SNMPv2-MIB, SNMPv2-MIB, SNMPv2-TC, SNMPv2-TM.
  • Exit - exits the program.

• Tools

  - use these options for viewing the MIB variables tree:
  • Find in tree - opens the "Input" dialog. Input the OID or the MIB name of the searched value and click "OK". If the value is found, the MIB browser will set focus at the tree node with corresponding value.
  • Get - performs SNMP Get request and outputs the value corresponding to currently selected OID on specified SNMP agent in the "Result" list at the "Reader" program tab. 
  • Get Next - performs SNMP Get Next request and outputs the value corresponding to next OID on specified SNMP agent. The result is displayed in the "Result" list at the "Reader" program tab.
  • Get Bulk - performs 10 SNMP Get Next requests and outputs the value corresponding to next 10 OIDs on specified SNMP agent. The list of values and OIDs is displayed at the "Reader" program tab in the "Result" list .
  • Get Table - allows to perform SNMP Get Next request for a MIB table. Select a table from the list and click "Get Table" to receive a list of OIDs and values in all rows and columns in the table, or select a column in the table and click "Get Table" to receive OIDs and values only for the selected column.
  • Copy Result OID - copies the selected OID in the "Results" list at the "Reader" program tab.
  • Copy Result Value - copies the selected value in the "Results" list at the "Reader" program tab.
  • Save Results To File - exports obtained list of names, OIDs and values to a CSV file.
  • Clear Result List - clears the list of values and OIDs at the "Reader" program tab.
