The "Device Status" test is designed for monitoring devices on remote hosts in the network. Setup the test to monitor hard drives, various interface cards, ports, video display adapters, etc, at remote hosts and stay notified when any of them fails before the breakdown causes bigger problems.

Setting the test is very easy - just select whether to monitor a certain device by selecting it from a special dialog displaying all devices at the remote host, or to monitor all devices by checking a single option.

Using the "Device Status" test system administrator will always stay notified about problems with remote hosts hardware and devices.

Device Status Test Properties

"Basic" "Device Status" test properties can be set in the "Test Properties" dialog.

Specific "Device Status" test properties include:

"Check all devices on the host" - select this option and the test will automatically check all devices listed on the remote host. The test is successful in case if all devices are functioning, fails otherwise.
"Check certain device" - in case if system administrator has to check certain device, check this option and select the device from the list.
