Process Memory Test

Use the Process Memory test for managing system memory used by processes on remote hosts. The test allows to stay informed about unusual processes memory usage, notifying administrator or remote hosts users in case of test failure. View the test logs to determine the source of problems of remote hosts performance.

The test is easy to setup: the tool allows to obtain the list of all process running on remote hosts. The interactive timeline of process memory usage can be viewed at the "Chart" program tab.

Process Memory Test Properties

"Basic" Process Memory test properties can be set in the "Test Properties" dialog.

Specific Process Memory test properties include:

• "Process name" - input process name or click "Get process list" and select process name from the list of available processes. The processes list consists of all currently running processes at the host selected in the "Perform by" setting ("Basic" test properties).
• "Test fails when process uses more than" -  set the maximum size of memory used by the process. The default maximum process memory usage is set to 64 Mb. If the process uses more memory, the test will be considered as failed.
