Short cycle: adding a test in 5 steps
- Start with clicking the "Create new test"
toolbar menu button. The
"New Test"
dialog will be displayed. Select the test type from the list. Click "OK".
Test properties dialog will be displayed.
- Select action profile from the list.
- Select scheduling profile.
- Set whether the test should be performed by the
core or by an agent.
- Set "Specific test properties".
Click "OK" to finish test creation.
Full cycle: adding a test, creating actions and

work with System PulseMeter is very easy. In this example we will create a drive
free space test.
- Start with clicking the "Create new
test" toolbar menu button. The
"New Test" dialog
will be displayed.

- Select the "Drive Free Space" test and
click "OK". The
"Test Properties" dialog
will be displayed.

- In the test properties dialog select an
action to be performed in case if test
fails. Click the "Configure"
button. The "Manage Actions" dialog will
appear.
- In the "Manage Actions" dialog click
"Add" button below "Profiles" list. "New
action profile" will be added. Set action
name to "Notification window" and click the
"Add" button below the "Actions" list.
"New
Action" dialog will be displayed.

In the "New Action" dialog select the action
type check the selected category is "All" and
click "Notification window" in the "Actions"
list. Click "OK".
"Action properties" dialog
will be displayed.

- You can use the default common action
properties in the "Action properties"
dialog.
- Confirm creating new action profile by
clicking "OK" and select the new profile
from the list in the
"Test properties"
dialog.
- You can select the "Default Preset"
scheduling profile or create a new one. To
create a new scheduling profile click the
"Configure" button
on the right side from
the "Scheduling profile". The "Schedules"
dialog will be opened. Click "New Preset"
button to add a preset. Select days and
hours in the grid and click "Check" to mark
them for your preset. Now you can adjust
"Starts at", "Ends", "Frequency" and
"Metric" values and then click "Apply to
Preset" button. For example you can set
frequency to "30" and metric to "minutes",
in this case the preset will be activated every half
an hour. Click "OK" to apply the changes and
exit the dialog.

- In the "Specific test properties" select
the drive letter and the minimum available
disk space. Click the "Get drive list"
button to see the list of drives at the
monitored host.
- Click "OK" button to finish test
creation. A new test will be added to the
list.
